Work
AI engineer and roboticist, Kiwibot
AI engineer
- I have been working in the application of several deep learning architectures for perception, planning and control.
- Designed and tested different sensor systems to allow smart capabilities (object tracking, obstacle avoidance, etc.) in a semi-autonomous food delivery robot.
2019 - 2019
Software engineer, Startup
Full stack developer
- As a full stack developer I helped to develop a web app and cloud computing platform to monitor and schedule the working hours of personal in industries such as amusement parks, hospitals and cafeterias.
- Designed and built a biometric system backend and control software based in fingerprint detection to monitor arrival/departure of employees from work.
2016 - 2017
Senior firware engineer, Driblet Labs, Boston, MA

Lead electronics and firmware engineer
- I was part of the foundational team of an early stage startup located in the Cambridge Innovation Center.
- Leaded the conception, design and development of a smart water meter and took the project from the prototype phase to manufacturing (pilot tests) in a period of time of about one and a half years.
- As part of the Cambridge innovation center I was exposed and actively involved to Boston’s startup ecosystem, learning best practices and tools to thrive in an entrepreneurial and highly demanding environment.
2015 - 2016
Robotics engineer, Softbank Robotics
Robotics support and repair engineer
- Worked in the repair and analysis of defective cases using hardware and software tools to troubleshot the company's robotic systems
- My line of work focused it two different humanoid robots: Pepper, an emotional robot used in retail and NAO, used in research, education and the treatment of autistic children.
- I also traveled to Paris and Tokyo to support the deployment of the robots around the world.
2014 - 2015
Cofounder and CTO, Chime
Early stage startup Cofounder and CTO
- In Chime we built a musical device to create music from motion using embedded systems, sensors, artificial intelligence and music theory.
- The original idea was conceived in an international Hackathon -Angelhack- in Atlanta, Georgia where I and my team won the first prize.
- Eventually I and my co-founder created a multidisciplinary group of four people to improve the prototype and demoed it in Silicon Valley.
2013 - 2013
Operations research engineer, TDM Transportes
- Developed applications for the optimization and management of the company own-trucks and critical resources using python, C++ and visual basic
- I also supported the direction staff in the decision taking process providing valuable business intelligence through research and data analytics.
